Melania Trump reflects on Be Best initiative amid ongoing vote counting

Melania Trump is sharing a message about her Be Best initiative, as votes continue to be counted in the White House race.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden took a narrow lead in Pennsylvania on Friday morning, inching him closer to defeating President Trump.

Shortly after the updated voting results in Pennsylvania were announced, the first lady reflected on her children’s wellness campaign, which she launched in 2018, in a Friday tweet:

The Twitter post marked the first time the public heard from the first lady since Election Day, when she cast her ballot in Palm Beach, Fla.

The Be Best message also came the morning after the president baselessly claimed in a statement to reporters at the White House that the electoral process was “unfair.” As Biden closed in on the 270 electoral votes needed to be named president-elect, President Trump claimed, without evidence, that the election was being stolen from him.

A spokeswoman for Melania Trump didn’t return ITK’s request for comment about the first lady’s reaction to the president’s remarks.
